Almost twelve years of solid design experience, creative, well organized, and ability to work with minimal supervision where self-reliance and lateral thinking are required.

Software experience includes Risa 3D, Enercalc, Etabs, Concise Beam, AutoCAD, Revit Structural, WordPerfect and Excel.

 

 EXPERIENCE

Design Structural Engineer (Wells Concrete, Grand Forks ND) May 2009 to present

Design prestressed and precast concrete structures for industrial and commercial building  in ND, MN and SD. Perform structural design such as lateral analysis, connection design and product design in conformance with project documents. Assist drafters in preparing erection drawings. Provide support to the production and erection departments and answer questions from architects engineer and general contractors.

Prepare details and specification for each member capable to support gravity , lateral load and handling forces for shipping process. Check drawing and solve problem with the production plant adjusting the design according with their requirements.

 

Design Structural Engineer (Seattle Structural, Seattle WA) April 2008 to January 2009

Be part of the design team responsible for the calculation of precast concrete for "COSTCO" warehouse and parking structures in Korea and Australia, verifying that designs comply with specified codes.

Design members, connections and draw details resolving conflicting design requirements for high-rise  buildings in downtown Seattle.

Structural Engineer (Greene Structural Engineering, Salt Lake City UT) September 1999 to April 2008

Design structures for commercial, industrial facilities, schools, churches and large houses in Utah, Nevada and California. Check for seismic and wind load using static and dynamic analysis when is required (Response Spectra Analysis). Prepare structural plans and specifications, check shop drawing and draw details. Interact with clients and/or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work. Respond to RFI and maintain a liaison with individuals within or outside the organization.

Work with architects in large custom homes and commercial building in Arizona and Nevada.

Provide all the structural calculations and CAD plans to the client. Materials used are timber, concrete, steel and masonry.
